DescriptionThis jug, from Huron Pottery, is inscribed with the following message "From F. Burgard to John Habkirk, Seaforth, Ontario, February 8, 1907." Ferdinand Burgard, the owner of the pottery at the time, was the nephew of Valentine Boehler, who founded the pottery in 1854. Burgard, who was the last owner, took over in 1900, and operated the pottery until 1910.
