DescriptionThis attractive necklace would have been worn to ensure fertility.  The red carnelian beads are not merely beautiful, but represent the male principles of energy and activity.  The green faience amulets are of Hathor, the goddess of love, and of pomegranate or poppy seed capsules.  Whichever kind of seed they represent, they would suggest fertility.
