DescriptionThis ostracon is one of a particularly interesting and valuable type that shows an ancient Egyptian architect at work. This is a sketch of the floor plan or perhaps the elevation, of a building. Such sketches could be consulted as the work progressed, or might have been the preliminary designs for a building. Occasionally such drawings can be identified with known tombs or temples, but that is unfortunately not the case here.
