DescriptionThis tiny amulet bestowed a powerful blessing upon its owner: the hieroglyphs read "All life and power." Though broken now, the piece was originally symmetrical, with a 'was' sceptre of power on each side of a central ankh and all three standing in or on a basket whose reading of 'nb' meant ‘all.’ This arrangement of hieroglyphs was often written in a continuous band around the bottom of a coffin, or of a piece of furniture. It is less common as an amulet.
