DescriptionThe third of our lion-headed
finals seems to look up as if wondering what has brought him to a Museum in
Canada, so far from his home in Egypt. Along with 910.37.11 and 910.37.12, he
once graced a piece of furniture, very likely a funerary bed. During the Roman period, a funerary bed
was sometimes used to support the mummy in the tomb chamber, and perhaps
during the funerary rites
