DescriptionGold finger-ringers with swivelling bezels in the from of scarabs were fairly common adornments of the upper classes in Ancient Egypt.  Though they sometimes carry the cartouche of a king, this ring has instead an image of a king, kneeling, and raising his hands in adoration of an obelisk which respresents the sun god.  Beneath the scene is the glyph 'nb' which can mean 'Lord of' something, or 'possessor of.
