DescriptionFragments of a royal stela. The inscription is an ancient stone copy of a decree originally on papyrus, issued by Pepy II. The decree stipulates that regular offerings be made in the temple of Abydos to statues of the king and member of his family. Limestone 6th Dynasty, c. 2200 B.C.
