DescriptionThis fragment from the 11th Dynasty temple of Nebhepetre Montuhotep comes from a boating scene. A man, leaning into his oar, can be seen at left.  The two vertical elements appear to be the steering oar (right) and the post (left) of a boat. The white pattern at lower right could represent either a decorative boarder, or actual lashing.
