DescriptionAlthough this fragment has been housed with others from the 11th Dynasty temple of Nebhepetre Montuhotep at Deir el Bahari, for a hundred years, it does not match any others in content or colouring.  Neither the Mayweed (daisy) motif nor the freehand style of the painting is attested at Akh Isut.  The red element at lower right may be the heel of a man's foot.   It's possible that this fragment came from a much later phase of decoration.
