Small naked female figurines in bright blue faience were among the commonest offerings made in the Hathor shrine at Deir el Bahari.  They were appropriate offerings to the goddess Hathor as goddess of fertility. Like most other examples, this figurine was broken at the torso; we suspect that they were broken in the course of a ritual at the shrine.
