DescriptionThis fragment from the 11th Dynasty temple of Nebhepetre Montuhotep shows part of the sail of a large ship, along with some of the rigging. The pattern on the sail was not carved, but only painted, and so is difficult to determine.
Though part of a nautical scene, it is not possible to determine to which specific kind of scene (boat procession, trading, warfare) this piece belonged.
