DescriptionBeautiful travertine jars like this one have been found in elite tombs at many sites, including Tarkhan, Giza, Sakkara, and Nag en-Der, and in the pyramid temple of Sahure at Abusir.  They almost certainly held offerings, but what kind of offering is unknown.
