DescriptionPart of a wooden tomb model of a type popular in undecorated tombs during the First Intermediate Period and Middle Kingdom. Wooden model of a simple bowl roughly carved in a hemispherical shape probably representing a Nile silt ceramic bowl.  Coated with red  paint on exterior, white paint on the rim, and dark brown  paint on the interior. The ceramic bowl may have had a red slip and a white rim band.
