DescriptionFaience bowls are common dedications to Hathor at sites such as Deir el-Bahri. They were presumably used to make votive offerings to the goddess. The interior of this bowl is decorated with lotus flowers, symbolic of regeneration and rebirth. On the exterior under the rim are found a series of running spirals, recalling Minoan motifs.
