DescriptionThis type of figurine was frequently used as a votive offering to Hathor at the temple of Deir el-Bahri. Hence these figures are called the "Deir el Bahri type." There are basically two sizes, one a large size c. 5-10 cm long and then a smaller size (under 5 cm long). They are made in moulds and the back is usually flat.
