Inscription on the back of the mirror: '1884 Chief Crowfoot of the Blackfoot tribe. Med [icine] Hat 19th July 1884, Gen. McCraig'.

There is a photo dated c.1884 of Chief Crowfoot wearing around his neck what appears to be the same mirror case. The photo was found on Levis Auctions.
