DescriptionFrom Estate of Tannis E.C. Lash. J.B. Lash was the agent at Calton for one year - 1885. From 1886 to 1897 he was agent at Muscoupetung Reserve. He was secretary to the Indian Commissioner for Manitoba Keewatin and the Northwest Territories from 1898 to 1906. Quote from donor: "belonged to a cousin (part of estate) whose father was an Indian agent on the Muskoupetung Reserve (50 miles N.W. Calgary). Her uncle was a surgeon with N.W. Mounted Police in the same area and could have collected some of the material. Date: prior to 1897, probably 6 to 8 years".  (Muskoupetung is actually 50 miles northeast of Regina).
