DescriptionFish oil, rendered from boiled fish heads and intestines, is stored in skin bags. The skin of the northern pike is peeled off whole and all openings but the tail stitched closed. The fish skin tube is then blown up and allowed to dry. The air bladders of the northern pike, bear, moose, and caribou were also prepared for storing fish oil.
