DescriptionCollected by Evelyn Johnson. According to her, "this was Mr. George H.M. Johnson’s first present, about 1848, to Miss Emily S. Howells, who later became his wife." He was a Mohawk chief and father of E. Pauline and Evelyn Johnson.
