DescriptionThis double sided drawing shows men dancing, probably the Hot Dance. It is accompanied by a letter (attached) dated 1885 from A.N. Moyer, proprietor of the Wyandotte Gazette to Th. Nast (famous cartoonist Thomas Nast?) stating in part; “Enclosed find sketches by ‘Pretty Eagle’ a young 'Crow’ at Ft. Custer Montana.” The fact that he is referred to as “young” suggests that drawing was not made by the famous Crow chief of the same name.
