Staff finial carved out of one piece of wood, covered in gold-coloured leaf, representing two men facing one another with a bowl of food on a table in front of them. One man is reaching for the food, while the other has his left hand on his stomach. This finial illustrates the proverb, "The food is for the man who owns it and not for the man who is hungry." This staff finial was purchased in a regalia store near the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi that caters to title holders in the broader Ashanti Region. This particular finial was made by master carver Boatey.
