DescriptionAnthropomorphic jug with three figures. This object was acquired in July, 2013 from the inventory of art dealer Soulemanou Njankouo who had purchased a range of containers from Salifou Ngambi in 2011. Njankouo kept the containers to resell to international customers. This jug was identified as an anthropomorphic Mangbetu style container. Ngambi created this jug, as much of his production, not as a copy of a known model, but working in Mangbetu style to give life to his own vision.
