DescriptionKnown as frankaa, or “flag,” these long-tailed headdresses often use the Union Jack as their basic design element, altering the composition for a variety of visual effects. Appliquéd in the same fashion as asafo flags, these hats trail down the back, and in other instances are wrapped turban-style around the head.
