DescriptionFirst shown at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1878, the acid-etched decoration was inspired by contemporary English cameo glass. It was executed by Perkes & Company of Stoke-on-Trent, a company operated by John Northwood, one of the most admired artists producing cameo glass. The large cup was probably intended for morning tea.
