DescriptionThis vase is a fine example of the late work produced at the company founded initially in 1874 by Émile Gallé. The decoration exploits the mould-blown and applied decoration techniques developed in the mid-1920s. Traces of the earlier Art Nouveau style still found favour with Gallé’s clients, and vases of this type were shown at the 1925 Paris Art Deco Exhibition.
