Description

It is of opaque dark brown stone with areas of russet, yellow and green with a smooth matt polish. Cut in an almost perfect circle so that the outer ede is slightly concave. The central hole was worked from both sides causing a low ridge closer to one side than the other. Bishop White purchased this along with a few other jades from a dealer in Shanghai; They all came from the collection of Wu Dacheng, a 19th century scholar/official.

玉质灰褐色,不透明,有白色斑纹。璧面磨平,侵蚀重,无光泽,素面无纹。整体呈扁平圆形,正中有对钻圆孔,孔径较小。
