DescriptionA silver ring on a plain silver band. In the centre is a large, stepped, diamond shape with embellished points and engraved with linear markings. Rings such as this could be worn by both men and women. The complexity and weight of the ring would identify the wearer as a person of wealth.
Such rings are made by Tuareg inadan, who forge them and decorate them with different metal inlays. Once forged, the jewelry is polished with water, soap and lemon juice.
