Collected by Harold Walpole Pope (born 1900), when he was a boy of ten to twelve while at the summer cottage in the Carlyle, Saskatchewan area. It is believed that the material was made not long before, say c.1900 to 1910. Most probably the items came from the White Bear First Nations which is composed of Plains Cree, Plains Ojibway, Dakota and Assiniboine.
