DescriptionSong dynasty architectural models are rare. The lotus leaf in the middle of the ridge is a characteristic Song detail. Also typical are the limited number and large size of the bracket clusters. During the Ming and Qing period, they were smaller and more numerous. Inside the pavilion, a scholar reads by candlelight; his boy servant has fallen asleep.
