DescriptionOf light green, semi-translucent nephrite, this jade is veined and specked with amber, brown and white. Having straight inner and outer walls, the disc is carved with two creatures crawling counter-clockwise; one larger and detailed and the other small. The larger has four legs with a bifurcated tails in higher and rounder relief, while the smaller one is two legged, triple-tailed, and in lower and flatter relief. The reverse side shows an archaistic design of interlocking, spiral-ended "Cs" about hatched lozenges in a four-part scheme.
