DescriptionThe spearhead is finely made with a thin but opaque buff-coloured blade. A simple leaf shape rises to the low midrib on both faces. Edges are bevelled to considerable sharpness, seemingly to be practical in function. Its low polish leaves faintest traces of abrasion and scratching especially at its base of blade which is chipped across one face. Also visible on lower part is a V-shaped dark brown stain probably from the mounting of the blade in a lost socket, perhaps of turquoise-inlaid bronze as in several published examples. Neat, if slightly slanting, biconical perforation is above the butt for securing the hafting.
