DescriptionThis ritual blade was used as a neolithic ceremonial object, which is made on finely mottled dark-grey and buff-brown jade with another side of more evenly dark brown in colouring, The surface is faintly translucent where thinnest. This piece is unusual in its nature of completion with a sharp and straight upper edge. Uneven conical perforation drilled from front between flaring lateral projections placed on slightly slanting axis. Tang widens toward the slanting and diagonally broken butt end. 玉璋墨色,微透明,有白色斑纹。整体扁平,形似铲。璋平首,体略收,长方形柄,末端斜收。柄与体相接处有一对外凸的牙形装饰,中部一孔,一面钻成。通体磨光,无纹。(Gu Fang)
