DescriptionModified from previous arc works in light green translucent jade, the object, assumingly used to be a part of ornament, is carved to show human head in profile. Features such as curl-ended eyes, curved-trapezoidal, tusked mouth, make image demonic. Atop head is slightly concave band lightly and finely graven with connected spirals for "guilloche" effect. Above this rises high headdress lightly graven with parallel lines suggesting plumes. In low part, neck area is plain, and base ground is bevelled to leave small trapezoid in which is neat, near-cylindrical perforation for attachment or stringing. 玉质青白色,半透明,打磨光润无暇。整体呈弧形柱状,一端浑圆,中部碾琢出龙纹,臣字目,细密的弦纹。通体磨光,一端出短榫,钻一孔。(古方)
