DescriptionStanding on short legs on roughly circular stand with short arms bent at elbows with clenched fists at sides at waist; facial features detailed - snub nose, squinting eyes; hair pulled up into cap with low single lobe and tie-ends detailed in centre-front and in centre-back. Wearing round-necked calf-length coat crossed to fasten at right and belted low on hips with end of belt pendant off-centre to left in back and sleeves narrowing from squared shoulders to cuffs - front border on upper flap of coat and folds in sleeves detailed. Cream earthenware with crazed green glaze stopping with splashes on stand. Moulded - hair-line crack along luting seam across top of head; no opening to interior cavity.
