DescriptionFauré helped to revive the ancient arts of enamelling in the twentieth century by creating luxurious vessels made with his thick high-relief translucent enamels in brilliant iridescent colours. His pre-war designs were usually floral compositions, but his designs from the 1920s were influenced by Cubist and Abstract art. The intersecting circles of the present design were influenced by the paintings and graphic works of Robert and Sonia Delaunay.
