DescriptionThis lamp is made of hard granular pikish-orange clay which turns yellowish with firing indicating that it came from Alexandria. It has been created in a two-piece mould, and the top part has been coated with a brownish-red slip. The relief decorations include a ladder pattern, small dots and leaves and an ivy leaf on the handle. There is some slight burning on the nozzle indicating that it was used.
