DescriptionThe stamp on this brick depicts the building for which it was used, the Yangguang pagoda in Jiading. The text on the early 20th-century label indicates that this pagoda was later taken down because it caused bad fengshui for some family tombs. On the other hand, pagodas were sometimes erected to improve the fengshui of a place.
