DescriptionBamboo cased in tortoise shell. Long tubular pipe with a large hole at one end and a small one at the other. Brass fitting with a glass bowl over hole in pipe one third down from mouth. Separate from the pipe a round metal box with opening that fits into the glass bowl. Opium-related paraphernalia relates to the history of Anglo-Chinese trade from the late 18th to the mid 20th Century.
