DescriptionFragment of 'Chian chalice' (cup) decorated on the outside with part of a lotus-and-bud chain typical of Wild Goat Style. On the inside are bands of black, red and white paint. This particular style of white-ground chalice made in Chios was produced to be a votive offering to the gods.
