DescriptionThe object was carved onto a grey coloured jade with a few strips of brown areas. The work is in forms of crouching hare in profile that mirrors both sides. Details exhibit in shallow lines, exhibiting long ears, large round eye, almost invisible but small mouth, and strong back leg, all indicated by simple carving lines. A small perforation drilled from both sides through front paw. 玉质大部分灰白色,俏色头部、前爪、尾部为褐色,半透明。整体呈扁平状,兔伏卧,圆眼前视,大耳向后,臀部翘起,短尾上翘,四肢前屈,足爪向下,蓄势待发。通体磨光,无纹,前爪有一穿孔。(古方)
