DescriptionRight and left halves of insignia badge for the front of a man's pufu (overcoat); military rank for censors symbolized by a xiezhi (mythical animal with lion's body and dragon's head). Brown satin ground entirely covered with embroidery in silk floss and gold thread in peking knot and couching. Right-facing animal on mound above billowing waves containing buddhist symbols; peonies and peaches grow from the sides; bats and clouds in sky above. Fret border in couched gold thread. Front halves uncut.
