DescriptionInsignia badge for the back of a man or woman's pufu (overcoat): imperial official with the rank of a five-clawed front-facing dragon (mang). Blue-black silk twill embroidered with silk floss in satin stitch, stem stitch and couching. Dragon in couched gold thread and stem stitch, suspended above billows containing buddhist symbols and multicoloured lishui (deep water); background of clouds and taoist symbols. Border of bats and shou characters. Analine purple in wave border and symbols.
