DescriptionLeft and right halves of an insignia badge for the front of the pufu (overcoat) of the wife of a 4th rank civil official (goose). Dark blue satin embroidered in silk floss with satin stitch, split stitch, and knot stitch. Left-facing bird with head turned right; grey and cream bird on mound above land mass; pine tree at the left in knot stitch, and mass of clouds at the right with red sun in the centre. Fret border of couched gold thread.
