DescriptionTiles with this pattern are typical of the Qin and Han dynasties (221 BC - AD 220), but continued to be made even later. Half of the dated inscription at the back of this tile is in reverse writing. This may indicate that the tile comes from a tomb: in the Other World, all things are reversed.
