DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 2nd rank civil official (golden pheasant). Black silk satin decorated with polychrome silk embroidery in satin stitch. Separately worked bird and sun disc mounted in centre above lishui (deep water) and billows and a cloud-filled sky. A narrow border of floral scroll and square fret on all sides.
