DescriptionJar with Children play with lanterns of various shapes. Porcelain with underglaze blue. Qing Dynasty, 1622 - 1722. Lanterns can be held in mid-air, such as the lotus-shaped example depicted on this jar. Or, they can be made into a mobile toy, such as the crab-shaped model pulled along by the smaller boy.
