DescriptionThis drinking cup (skyphos) was probably made in Italy and uses coloured paint on a black-gloss background to create the decoration of a rosette with twelve petals and cross-hatched design. The style of decoration is similar to the `West Slope' ware made in Attica and the Aegean at this period, and this vase may actually have been made there.
