DescriptionForm of creatures like dragon became prevalent since 5000 years ago; this dragon pendant is made on translucent light green jade with amber vein at tail. The creature is conceived in profile within curving triangular outline, probably from an old use of jadework. Details of eye, ear, and shoulder and body spirals appear in thread-relief line on both sides. Dragon image seemingly is subsequent, however, to three or four piercings of plaque for some other and previous purposes. Traces of earth and red pigment are observable.
