DescriptionThis textile has four vertical repeats of neoclassical motifs on a decorated hatched ground: 1) rectangle on caryatid containing cupid driving chariot drawn by boars; 2) two cupids holding lyre and laurel branches alternating with medallion of Athena mask; 3) lozenge shaped medallion containing bowl with doves on rim; 4) two cupids holding tambourine and staves entwined with vines, alternating with medallion of Bacchus mask.
