DescriptionThe  "Tears of the afflicted" or "tears of the wounded" are steel ball-bearings inserted into the blade, in this case along the central ridge. It is debateable whether this actually had a function other than to display the weaponsmith's skill.Curved daggers of this broad-bladed South Arabian pattern are often thought to have been made for the Arabian market.
